Aglaée is a mom, a no-nonsense REAL food registered dietitian & nutritionist, and the author of the book & cookbook “Digestive Health with REAL Food”.
Aglaée was diagnosed with PCOS in November 2011 and had a total of 60 cysts on both of her ovaries. She feared she would never be able to conceive. After 2 years of eating a REAL food / Paleo diet, she was able to balance her hormones and decrease the number of cysts on her ovaries down to 18, a 70% improvement!
Aglaée and her husband conceived naturally before even officially trying the following month. She had a healthy pregnancy and she welcomed her son, Ayden, at home. Aglaée loves helping women balance their hormones and is fascinated by pregnancy and birth. She also defines herself as a crunchy mom. 😉
Aglaée graduated with a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Nutrition from Laval University (Québec City, Canada) and then worked as a dietitian diabetes educator in Ottawa for 3 years before realizing that the training she had received wasn’t allowing her to help people as much as she had hoped. She then decided to open her mind to other schools of thought and started digging into the scientific literature to explore alternative options. Since then, she developed an evidence-based, holistic approach that not only allows her to get better results with her clients, but that also helped her heal herself.
She recently published a book called “Digestive Health with REAL Food: a practical guide to an anti-inflammatory, low-irritant, nutrient-dense diet for IBS & other digestive issues” in 2013 and a companion cookbook of the same name in 2014. She is a regular contributor to many publications, including Paleo Magazine and Today’s Dietitian.
Aglaée is passionate about health, but she also loves food, traveling, speaking français & español, and walking in nature. She currently lives with her husband and son on Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada.
